Artistic Direction (Ongoing)

Culture House, Washington, DC

Planning for Exhibitions and Programs

Goal | Cultivate gallery strategy and arts-related programs for large arts space in downtown Washington, DC.

Founded on the principle that art is a catalyst for change in the community, Culture House is dedicated to providing inspiration and motivation for those who encounter its power, either through experience or events. Its mission is to provide a functional art space for all to enjoy and learn more about the arts culture through exhibits, events, live performances, and artist workshops. The venue embraces all things creative with all its being.

Since fall 2019, I have worked as Culture House's Artistic Director to plan exhibitions for the 2,500 square foot white-box gallery, as well as modular site-specific installations throughout the rest of the facility. I contribute to the ongoing aesthetic development of the institution and its space. In summer 2020, I will oversee the creation of the Avant Garden, a 5,000 square foot outdoor space dedicated to presenting a range of public art projects.
