NEH Grant Proposal (Awarded)
Jewish Historical Society, DC
Goal | Raise funds supporting preparation of an museum experience on social justice and civic participation.
This grant proposal to the National Endowment for the Humanities sought support for interpretive planning for the core exhibition of a new museum of Jewish history in Washington, DC. The grant detailed a plan for the development of a presentation exploring Jewish civic activism in the area over more than two centuries, which would be the central experience in the new museum. As the writer and subsequent project director, I developed the budget and work plan, and coordinated over a dozen outside consultants and funders. The proposal was successfully funded and is currently part of planning for the new museum.
