Illustrated Book Chapter

"A Curatorial Tour"

KTAV & Yeshiva University Museum

Goal | Reveal how an idea meant to help the most vulnerable members of a devout community evolved conceptually, physically, and socially over thousands of years.

This chapter in It's a Thin Line: Eruv from Talmudic to Modern Culture (edited by Adam Mintz) provided an illustrated walkthrough of the similarly-named exhibition. The chapter opens a volume that uses the eruv as a lens for examining Jewish experience historically, religious, sociologically, and with respect to the built environment. I wrote the chapter, collected and compiled the images, and worked with the copy editor to finalize the piece for publication.
